Dr Josette Weibrecht has lived in Tucson for most of her life. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, earning a bachelor's in Molecular and Cellular Biology. As an undergraduate, she received recognition academically, as well as for research she completed in neuroscience. She completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona Medical School, and her training in adult psychiatry. During the following year, she completed a scholarship-sponsored research internship, and subsequently a child/adolescent fellowship. During this time, she also received recognition for her achievements in research and training. Additionally, she served as the chief resident during her fellowship training. Since she completed her fellowship, she has been an Assistant Clinical Professor, whereby she participates in the education of medical students, residents and fellows at the University of Arizona. Dr. Weibrecht opened her private practice in 2005 for  children and families with treatment options that are based on individual needs, desires, and beliefs of her patients and families. Dr. Weibrecht  practices both at Catalina Foothills Pediatric Psychiatry and community clinics. She enjoys her work immensely, and sincerely appreciates being able to work with children, teens and their families.
